John Piatek & Friends

John Piatek & Friends are best friends. It doesn’t take long for you to notice when watching this Northern Michigan indie rock trio, or listening to their latest release, EP 2. John Piatek (guitar, vocals), Madeline Ross (keyboards, vocals), and Jake Myers (drums, vocals) do everything together, from songwriting to trading vocals and swapping instruments, and visual art design. The trio’s friendship crackles through their short but quickly-growing discography, which evokes elements of fuzzy bedroom pop and guitar circles huddled around a space heater. John Piatek & Friends travel through Northwest Michigan this summer in support of this year’s EP 2 and last year’s full-length debut, John Piatek & Friends.
